OUR PURPOSE
leading others towards Christ
Alpha is run globally in thousands of churches. In the 10 over years since starting Alpha in WEFC, we’ve had the joy of seeing many people give their lives to Jesus Christ through this ministry! Alpha is a series of sessions exploring the Christian faith, and there’s always food, a talk and good conversation. It is designed to help seekers explore the big questions of faith and discover the basics of Christianity in a warm and relaxing space.
We love doing Alpha in WEFC! It is a great way to give our pre-believing family and friends a foretaste of what it’s like to be in a faith community that is anchored on God’s love. We don’t just dig into questions of faith; we get to be part of a family that eats, laughs, learns and grows together.
YOUR PART

We typically run Alpha twice a year. Each season lasts 12 weeks, usually on a Saturday. Our next Alpha season is planned for Mar – May 2021. Join us and see how God can use you in this ministry!
FACILITATORS
Encouraging discovery by facilitating and leading group discussions which revolve around the Alpha topics. Training is provided.
BEFRIENDERS
Extend hospitality and friendship to guests and support facilitators in the discussions. Training is provided.
LOGISTICS / FOOD
Ensure the smooth running of the Alpha Course by providing on-the-ground support before and after each session.
